Recently, an image of the classic logo bearing the words "Ala Laojiu SINCE 1908" has attracted attention on social media. Behind it is Ningbo Ala Brewing Co., Ltd., a Ningbo enterprise with over a century of brewing history. This company is not only a time-honored brand and a famous brand in Zhejiang Province, but also a significant representative of China's rice wine industry.

Ningbo Ala Brewing Co., Ltd. was formerly known as Xinqi Winery, founded in 1986. In 2002, it acquired the state-owned Ningbo Dongfeng Winery, established in 1908, thus inheriting over a century of rice wine brewing tradition. In 2004, the company officially changed its name to "Ningbo Ala Brewing Co., Ltd.", embarking on a brand-oriented development path. Located in Beilun District, Ningbo, adjacent to Ningbo Port, the company enjoys a significant geographical advantage and has now developed into a leading rice wine enterprise covering more than 150 acres with an annual production capacity of 60,000 tons, ranking among the top five in the national rice wine industry.

While adhering to traditional craftsmanship, Ala Brewing actively promotes technological innovation. The company has introduced modern technologies such as computer control, dynamic fermentation, and stainless steel tank fermentation to achieve intelligent and standardized production processes. Its unique "dynamic fermentation control technology" enhances the taste and quality of its rice wine while reducing energy consumption, resulting in a product that is "delicious and doesn't cause headaches." The company also possesses advanced domestic bottling production lines with an annual bottling capacity of 100,000 tons and maintains an inventory of over 30,000 tons of various vintage rice wine base spirits.

In terms of products, Ala Brewing covers multiple categories including rice wine, baijiu (Chinese liquor), fruit wine, and cooking wine. Its classic rice wine has repeatedly won honors such as "China's Famous Historical and Cultural Wine" and "Silver Medal at the Brussels International Wine Competition." In recent years, to adapt to the consumption trends of younger generations, the company has successively launched innovative products such as low-alcohol freshly brewed rice wine, sparkling sake, and fermented plum wine, further enriching its product portfolio.

In terms of market layout, Ala Brewing has formed a development pattern centered on Ningbo and Zhoushan, radiating throughout the Yangtze River Delta, gradually expanding nationwide, and exporting overseas. With over 20 years of export experience, the company's products are sold to more than 50 countries and regions in Europe, America, and Southeast Asia, with annual exports exceeding 10,000 tons, making it one of the leading enterprises in China's rice wine export industry.

The company has achieved remarkable results in brand building. "Ala Laojiu" was named one of the "Top 100 Brands in Ningbo" in 2024, with a brand value assessment of 2.54 billion yuan. Chairman Fu Qinfeng, one of Zhejiang's Top Ten Winemaking Masters, leads a professional team composed of national-level judges and senior technicians to continuously promote the inheritance of rice wine culture and the upgrading of the industry.

Ala Winemaking stated that in the future, it will continue to take culture as its soul, technology as its wings, and quality as its foundation, striving to build a nationally influential rice wine brand, allowing this century-old wine to continue to resonate in the new era.
